This page consists of Elephants carved in Rosewood. Rosewood is a unique kind of Dark colored wood, which with seasoning is one of the toughest woods in the world. It is also very tough on termites.
When given the finishing the end products are known to be very long lasting. The rosewood inlay is a
craft practiced in Mysore and found nowhere else in the world. The craftsman scoop the flat surface of
the rosewood in the desired deigns and natural woods of different colors are inlaid in the hollow spaces.
The Elephants are available in various sizes ranging from 12 inches to life size 12 feet.
